Cinnamon Glazed Pecans

Crunchy, cinnamony-sweet, delicious! These are a perfect snack for trips, hikes, lunch boxes, and just having around the house.



1 cup granulated sugar

11/2 teaspoons cinnamon

1/8 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup water

2 cups pecan halves

1 teaspoon vanilla


  1. Line a sheet pan with parchment paper.
  2. Combine sugar, cinnamon, salt, and water in a cast iron skillet.
  3. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to medium, and cook for 2 minutes.
  4. Add pecans.
  5. Continue to cook, stirring constantly, over medium heat until sugar mixture starts to crystallize around pecans, about 10 minutes.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
  7. Immediately pour onto prepared sheet pan.
  8. Separate pecans.


Store at room temperature in an airtight container.
